What a first morning here actually looks like

The first drop-off is the hardest part for most families — usually harder for the parent than the child. Here is exactly how we handle it.

Most children settle within a week. Some take three. Both are normal, and neither means anything is wrong with your child or with you.

On the first morning we ask you to stay for fifteen minutes. You sit on the low chair by the window, your child plays nearby, and we do not rush either of you. When you leave, you say goodbye properly — no slipping out while they are distracted. Children who are told the truth about a goodbye recover faster than children who turn around and find you gone.

We will send you a photo within the first hour. Not because we think you are anxious, but because you probably are, and a photo is faster than a phone call.

By the second week, most children walk in ahead of their parent. That is the part we like best.

Thinking about a spot? Come and see the place — bring your child, look around, ask anything.
